Flutter Entertainment buys online bingo operator Tombola Limited

British and Irish iGaming behemoth Flutter Entertainment has announced that it has just spent £402 million ($540.2 million) in order to fully acquire prominent online bingo operator Tombola Limited.

The London-listed firm used an official Thursday press release (pdf) to proclaim that Tombola Limited was established by entrepreneur Phil Cronin some 16 years ago and has since gone on to become ‘a successful bingo-led gaming company’ by offering a low-stake proposition to ‘a highly-engaged customer base’ located across the whole of Europe.

Zack Snyder's Justice League Ends On A Cliffhanger

Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League arrives on HBO Max on March 18. The director revealed that the finale of the movie is open-ended. During IGN’s Fan Fest, Snyder said multiple times that his cut of the movie ends on a “massive cliffhanger.”

Snyder spoke additionally about the original Justice League, which was going to be two have more films. “No, [The Snyder Cut] doesn’t really encompass any of the additional movies, other than little, I mean it hints at a potential other worlds,” explained Snyder. “I plant the seeds, as I wanted to of what would come in the you know later films.”

Xbox Is Testing An AI Chatbot, And Here's How It Could Work

Microsoft is a big believer in artificial intelligence, and now it’s come to light that the company is making an AI-powered chatbot for Xbox, but it’s only a prototype for now.

A spokesperson for Microsoft told The Verge that Microsoft is testing what’s called an “Xbox Support Virtual Agent.” This chatbot, which is only a prototype for now, features an animated character who can answer Xbox-related questions with voice or text.

“The prototype makes it easier and quicker for players to get help with support topics using natural language, taking information from existing Xbox Support pages,” Microsoft said.

The Verge further reported that this Xbox AI chatbot is part of a “larger effort” at Microsoft to put AI into the Xbox platform and services. This is no surprise at all, given Microsoft has already said publicly it will put AI into every product it creates, including Xbox.

Among other things, the Xbox AI chatbot can process game refunds and answer support-related Xbox questions, The Verge reported. The chatbot asks players, “How can I help you today,” and is capable of answering questions related to Xbox issues, subscriptions, and support.
